Department of Chemistry is the leading department in the College. Along with undergraduate programme, the department is running three post graduate courses like M.Sc in Chemistry, M.Sc in Industrial Chemistry and Integrated M.Sc in Chemistry. Among the 14 permanent faculty, 7 are research guides, 2 have submitted thesis, remaining three are working for Ph.D. Many research papers are flourished from the department. Faculty members have presented their research findings in the International and National conferences.

National and state level conferences are organized by the department.
Every year students are qualifying in NET-JRF examination.

The faculty members of Chemistry are not only involving in curricular activities. They also motivate towards overall growth of students.
Objectives of the Department

  • To motivate students towards NET-JRF
  • To motivate towards Industrial work
  • Motivating towards Research
  • Creating awareness towards environmental protection
  • Awareness towards the protection of plants in Malnad region
  • Involved in group discussion
  • Encourage to give Seminars, assignment
